With the end of the financial year we had our performance reviews, and I did better than I did last year. So I got given my yearly bonus, and with it I bought a Blu-ray drive for the new computer. Which means I can finally start "backing-up" my Blu-ray films. Although the higher quality does result in a significantly larger file size I think it is worth it. Though I may have to look into getting some higher capacity drives for the server.
I did have a slight panic attack this week. When I went looking for the code for all the games I've written and couldn't find any of it, to say I was a little upset is an understatement. I was beside myself upset, I think at one point I very nearly had an emotion. But everything was OK once I found a back-up in a place it shouldn't have been.
So now I have about five or six copies on a few different devices, until I can get it all properly backed up to the Gitea server.
With that in mind the reason I was looking for the code in the first place was so I could update all the code and get fresh versions to host on my site and maybe even get back into written games again.
Managed to watch more of the X-men series before I got bored
In other films I watched Mr. Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie (2023) because I saw that it was finally available and it's been a while since we finished the series. Paddington in Peru (2024) came on sky cinema as did Transformers One (2024) both were as fun as I expected. But I was surprised to see that Antonio Banderas is starting to looking old 🧓
The wife saw a trailer for The Bondsman (2025) and sent me the link, good to watch, we binged it in a few days. Definitely looking forward to season 2.
It's that time of year again where we get the The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer (2018)
After last weeks disappointment I haven't really been listening to anything this week 😞
OK, this is the last time I'm going to back date a week notes until, next week, Stay Lucky.
